Shopify Development: how we do it.
New Shopify stores, set up properly
We set up your Shopify store from the ground up: the theme, collections and product pages, navigation, payments, shipping, tax settings, email notifications and the apps your business needs. Product pages are designed to answer shoppers' questions and make buying easy on a phone.
Before launch we test the full buying journey, from finding a product to checkout and order confirmation, so your first customers get a smooth experience.
We also set up the parts of a store that are easy to forget: clear shipping and returns pages, policies, order and abandoned-cart emails in your brand style, analytics and conversion tracking, and the search and social sharing details that help your products get found. Launch day is calmer when all of this is ready in advance.
Theme design and customisation
Whether you start from a Shopify theme or need something more distinctive, we customise the design to match your brand and the way your customers shop: custom sections your team can rearrange, product page layouts for different product types and landing pages for campaigns.
Your team can keep editing content, products and collections in the Shopify admin without touching code.
We keep customisations within Shopify's theme system wherever possible, so your store stays easy to update and keeps working when Shopify releases new features. Where a feature needs custom code, we document it, so you or another developer can understand and maintain it later.
Migrating to Shopify without losing data
If you're moving from WooCommerce, another platform or a custom store, we move your products, customers and orders to Shopify and set up redirects from the old addresses, so existing links and search rankings keep working.
We plan the move carefully, test it on a copy first and switch over at a quiet time, so your store keeps selling throughout.
After the move, we compare the old and new stores page by page, check that important links redirect correctly and watch for errors in the first weeks. If something was missed, we fix it quickly, before it affects sales or rankings.
Apps, integrations and AI features
We connect the apps and services your store relies on: payment gateways, shipping providers, reviews, email marketing and inventory tools. Where it helps shoppers decide, we add AI features such as product recommendations, instant answers to product questions, AI-written product descriptions and a shopping assistant chatbot. You can read more on our generative AI for eCommerce page.
We keep the number of apps sensible. Every extra app can slow a store down and add monthly costs, so we recommend only what earns its place and use Shopify's built-in features first. When an app isn't the right fit, we can build a small custom integration instead, so your store does exactly what your business needs.
A standard business website typically takes 2–4 weeks; larger custom websites, eCommerce platforms or web applications may need 4–8 weeks or more.

Do you build new Shopify stores or only customise existing ones?
Both. We build new Shopify stores from scratch, customise existing themes and improve stores that are already selling. We also build custom sections and integrations when a theme can't do what your store needs.
Can you migrate our store to Shopify?
Yes. We move products, customers and orders from WooCommerce, other platforms or custom stores, and set up redirects so existing links and rankings keep working.
How long does a Shopify store take?
A standard business website typically takes 2–4 weeks; larger custom websites, eCommerce platforms or web applications may need 4–8 weeks or more. You get the timeline in writing before we start.
Can you add AI features to a Shopify store?
Yes. Product recommendations, AI answers to product questions, AI product descriptions and images, and a shopping assistant chatbot are common additions. We start with the feature most likely to help your shoppers and add more once it proves its value.
How do we get started?
Book a free call or send us your requirements. We'll discuss your goals, then send a written proposal with scope, timeline and cost before any work starts. Once you approve it, you get one point of contact and regular updates throughout the project.
Who owns the work when the project is finished?
You do. When all invoices for the project are paid in full, you own the final deliverables we created specifically for you: designs, content and custom code. We're also happy to sign your NDA before you share any details.
