It is written to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, company name, and the project details, budget and timeline you share through our contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
- AI chat assistant: if you use the chat on our website, we store your messages, the page you started on, your IP address and browser type so we can reply and improve our answers. Messages are processed by our AI provider, Venice.ai, to generate replies. If you book a call in the chat, Calendly handles the booking with your name and email. Chats are deleted automatically after 90 days, or earlier on request. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.
- Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe.
- Clients and customers: billing name, address, GSTIN and invoice details; for our software, the account details needed to provide your licence.
- Payments: payments are processed by our payment gateway partner. We receive confirmation of the payment (amount, date, reference) but never your full card, UPI or net-banking details.
- Collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, kept in our server logs for security and troubleshooting. The website uses only essential cookies (for example to keep administrators signed in); it does not use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes and proposals, and deliver the services or software you ask for.
- To send invoices, receive payments and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- To send our newsletter if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep our website and systems secure, prevent spam and fraud, and improve our website.
- To comply with law, and to establish or defend legal claims.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (which you give when you submit a form or subscribe) or for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as performing a contract you asked for. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only as needed to run our business, with: our hosting and email providers; our AI chat provider (Venice.ai) and booking service (Calendly); payment gateways and banks that process your payments; team members and contractors working on your project, under confidentiality obligations; professional advisers such as accountants; and government or law-enforcement authorities when the law requires it. Where these parties are outside India (for example when we work with you from our US office), we take care that your data stays protected.
How we protect your information
We use HTTPS encryption on our website, store passwords only in hashed form, limit access to personal data to people who need it, keep our software up to date and keep regular backups. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we follow reasonable security practices as required by Indian law and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach as the law requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 3 years after our last contact. Chat transcripts are kept for 90 days. Invoices and accounting records are kept for 8 years, as required by Indian tax law. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, erase it where we no longer need it, or withdraw your consent (this does not affect processing already done). You may also nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. Write to the Grievance Officer below; we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
