Shopify or WooCommerce for an Australian store?
Shopify suits stores that want hosting and updates looked after; WooCommerce suits businesses already on WordPress or wanting more control over the code. We recommend one after learning how you sell.
Can you set up shipping for regional and remote areas?
Yes. We set separate zones and rates for metro, regional and remote postcodes, using the carriers or apps you choose, and test checkout totals for each.
Who decides the store's tax settings?
Your accountant. We enter the settings they give us in Shopify or WooCommerce and check that checkout totals match; we don't give tax advice.
Will we lose search rankings if we change platforms?
Not if the move is planned. We migrate products, customers and order history, redirect every old product link and check the new store in Google Search Console after launch.
