The business

Thai Power is an editorial platform about the drive and creativity of Thai people. It publishes profiles, features and community news in Thai, and follows projects such as The Power Band, a contest for secondary school bands, and community football pitches. Most articles carry an author byline, and the brand also produces its own video series.

What's on the site

Content is sorted into six themed sections, each with a short Thai tagline: People, Passion, Playground, Product, Play & Pride and Public. Recent topics range from a ready-to-eat herbal noodle product to former Power Band musicians and a silver jewellery maker from the highlands. The homepage opens with a latest-stories feed showing the category, headline, author and date of each article.

A video band links episodes of the site's shows to its YouTube channel, and every section then gets its own row of recent posts with a View More link. The footer repeats the six sections, links to About and Contact, and points to the brand's social channels.

Design

The bright amber of the Thai Power wordmark leads the colour scheme, backed by clean white space so long Thai headlines stay readable. On phones the main menu moves behind a toggle.

Why WordPress

A magazine with several writers and a steady flow of articles needs a newsroom-style workflow. WordPress handles categories, author bylines, publishing dates and featured images out of the box, so editors can post in Thai and have each story appear in the right section automatically. The familiar dashboard also suits regular contributors who write often but never need to touch the design.
