Website development for UK businesses

We design and build fast, accessible websites for UK businesses, with cookie consent and privacy notices set up properly from day one. Your team gets a site that is simple to update, and your company keeps ownership of the hosting, domain and code.

How we work

What to expect.

From sitemap to staging link

We start with the pages your customers actually need, sketch them as wireframes and turn them into designs in your brand's colours and typefaces. You review progress on a staging link, leave comments as you go and approve each stage before we move on. Editing is set up so your team can change text, images and opening hours without waiting for us.

UK GDPR, PECR and accessibility

Contact and booking forms collect only what you need and link to a privacy notice, as UK GDPR expects. Under PECR, most cookies that aren't strictly necessary, such as advertising tags, need a visitor's consent before they are set, so we fit a cookie banner that makes rejecting as easy as accepting and genuinely holds those cookies back until someone agrees. Newsletter sign-ups use an unticked box, so marketing emails only go to people who asked for them. Pages are designed and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA, which supports the duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled customers. We don't give legal advice or certify compliance; your solicitor or adviser confirms what applies to you.

Launch without losing your rankings

A standard business website typically takes 2–4 weeks; larger custom websites, eCommerce platforms or web applications may need 4–8 weeks or more. Before launch we map every old address to its new page, test each form end to end and check the site in Google Search Console, and the hosting and domain stay registered in your company's name.

FAQ

Questions from UK clients.

How do you handle cookie consent for UK visitors?

We set up a cookie banner where rejecting is as easy as accepting, and connect it so non-essential cookies, such as advertising tags, only load after a visitor agrees. That follows the approach in the ICO's guidance on PECR; your adviser can confirm the details for your site.

Will disabled visitors be able to use the site?

We design and test against WCAG 2.2 AA, the level UK public sector websites are asked to meet: colour contrast, keyboard use, screen-reader labels, and captions where you supply video. We share the checks we ran; we don't certify sites or give legal advice.

Who writes our privacy notice?

You or your adviser, because it has to describe how your business actually uses personal data under UK GDPR. We add the page, link it from every form and the footer, and make sure the forms collect only what the notice describes.

How long does a UK website project take?

A standard business website typically takes 2–4 weeks; larger custom websites, eCommerce platforms or web applications may need 4–8 weeks or more. Your written proposal sets out the stages, priced in pounds sterling, before we start.
